The Adventures of Supergirl
The adventures of me, Supergirl. Um, actually my name is Elisabeth and I'm a failure of a human being who lives in Kansas. But Supergirl sounds cooler.

I've decided not to abandon this blog.
Because I was going to, which is why I haven't posted for months, if you were wondering.

Coach Katie...
... You are the best swim team coach I've ever had, BUT WHAT THE HECK POSSESSED YOU TO GIVE US THE MOST INSANE PRACTICE WE'VE EVER HAD IN MY FOUR YEARS OF SWIMMING ON THE MISSION TEAM, RIGHT AFTER TUESDAY'S MEET!? On the the last 50-meter swim, I don't even know what we were supposed to be doing. Simon, who is usually obsessed with going first and being the fastest, actually fought with this other kid over which one of them would go last. And when he did go, he literally just walked on the bottom of the pool. He didn't even swim. Actually, none of us did, really. I did a really wimpy version of butterfly (I only used my arms to touch the wall, so I was pretty much just floating along and kicking every once in awhile. And I still stayed ahead of everyone else in my lane), and Kevin... I have no idea what he was doing, but I've definitely never seen it before, and it made slugs look like cheetahs.
And then, of all the days in the summer, the book sale was today. My feet still hurt from walking around the... the building that used to be a mall in the 80's, which is now a collection of dead businesses that would probably be torn down if they didn't have a massive sale there biannually. I ended up getting twelve books within the first half hour, and the only reason I stayed for two more hours was because my mom wanted to look in sections that were full of stuff like geography and religious business science (or something like that).

My birthday is coming up...
... and these are some pretty cool things that I would love to have... HINT HINT...
The Spirited Away Original Movie Soundtrack or the My Neighbor Totoro Soundtrack:
The Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (Sometimes called Matanei Loki Ragnarok or Mythical Sleuth Loki) Manga:
The last Maximum Ride book, which is titled "Nevermore":
And maybe I can get the courage to have my ears pierced for my birthday, too.

Arizona has stopped funding Planned Parenthood.
I'm currently trying to convince my mom that we should totally move there.

This morning when I woke up...
I noticed three things.
1. I wasn't as sick as I had been yesterday.
2. My sense of smell was back.
3. My room smelled like vomit.
Perhaps I should actually vacuum my room for once, and clean my gerbils' cage while I'm at it. Yaaay vomit room.
